THE SMME ICT SHOWCASE
Forge Academy, in partnership with Nokia and the ICT SMME Chamber, will be hosting the Small Tech Company Showcase, where your business could win an opportunity to exhibit at the Forge Academy Digital Street Festival on the 18th of November 2021.
All entries received will be shortlisted to a top twenty list. The top twenty will then have 10 minutes to virtually present their business to a panel of judges at Forge Academy. The top six will be selected to win a fully designed exhibition stand at the Digital Street Festival on the 18th of November 2021.
The best pitches will respond to the current national imperatives: education, connectivity, transport, municipal services, technology, and employment initiatives.
In addition to exhibiting at the Digital Street Festival, winners will also receive an article about them and their journey in business. Marketing will pitch these to the media for exposure and distribute them across social media platforms, Coaching and Incubation Sessions hosted at Forge Academy, Digital Marketing Consultations, Purchase Order Funding, and the Opportunity to network with potential investors.
Dr Thabo Lehlokoe

Dr. Thabo Lehlokoe is a Medical doctor who spent 4 years training in Ophthalmology both in SA and UK, turned entrepreneur with a special interest in ICT’s, having spent the last 17 years in companies with a strong ICT foundation.
Dr. Lehlokoe represents his company in the Electronic Manufacturing Group of South African Communications Forum (SACF) and is also a member of the African Business Executive Circle (BBEC). He was on two occasions, a Vice President of the Information Technology Association of South Africa (ITA), a Council Member of the Business Unity South Africa (BUSA) and was active in its Trade and Industry Committee.
Dr. Lehlokoe is also ex-director of Siemens Business Services where he headed the Public Sector business development, marketing, communications, channel management and BEE initiatives of the company under the role of Market Development Director. Current Chairman of Fibretronic Sales.

Empowerment Capital specialises in setting up and managing Corporate Venture Capital investment companies such as Imvelo Ventures, which has been set up by Empowerment Capital in partnership with Capitec Bank.
Before starting with Empowerment Capital Anton was the Managing Director of the National Empowerment Rating Agency and a partner at Transcend Capital, a boutique corporate finance advisory firm that specialised in M&A and BEE-related transactions for large listed South African and multinational corporates. He also served as a Finance Director on the Board of ABP, the Association of BEE Professionals and in this role, he represented the entire BEE verification Industry to the Department of Trade and Industry.
Anton is a qualified German lawyer and also holds an MBA from the Berlin School of Economics.

Jeanetta Hendricks has been in the Financial Services Industry for over 30 years. Her experience stretches across multiple disciplines namely: Healthcare, Individual Financial planning, Beneficiary Funds, Employee Benefits, amongst others.
Jeanetta has led and directed Financial Services Providers in her capacity as Key Individual and Board Member. She holds Financial Services qualifications in Wealth Management, Trustee training and has attained her Masters of Business Administration degree.
Her experience in the Financial Services’ industry is well demonstrated through the opinion pieces she writes for leading industry publications as well as through thought leadership seminars she speaks at. Driven by passion, Jeanetta is more often than not found training people in both formal and informal settings. Her belief for quality above quantity is demonstrated in the time she invests in developing human capital.

The vehicle is a catalyst for a plethora of upliftment programmes across all ages and sectors mostly in forgotten communities both in South Africa and Africa.
Martine is obsessed with the developmental potential that Africa has to offer and even more excited about the part that she plays in spearheading much-needed transformation across various sectors. Amongst many other things, she has assisted tens of thousands of entrepreneurs in becoming more sustainable through coaching incubation and accelerator programmes. Martine is a big-hearted trailblazer committed to driving real socio-economic change. She has an impact on everyone that she comes in touch with no matter what country, creed or background, not only to succeed button liberate themselves through access to relevant training courseware, financial security and self-reliance.
Chief Investment Officer at Lafeki
Eben holds a BSc Applied Mathematics from the University of Pretoria, and BSc (Hons) Operations Research from the University of South Africa. Eben started his career in investment banking in 2007, and has over 13 years of financial markets experience. During his tenure in investment banking he held various roles, spanning across IT, Quantitative Analytics, and Secondary Markets trading. He has also served in the consulting space, specializing in the valuation and risk management of financial assets and derivatives.
Eben joined Lafeki in 2020, where he serves as the Chief Investment Officer. His mandate is centred around the use of technology and quantitative techniques for deriving profitable trading strategies, and for evaluating strategic private-equity acquisitions. He takes ultimate responsibility for the management of proprietary trading within Lafeki, and takes an active role in the identification, assessment, and acquisition of investments. Additionally, Eben oversees the professional services arm of the business.
